Inculcating Sports Since Primary Education
Sports play a very important role in the holistic growth and development of a child. In India, currently, due to the increasing spread of technology and academic load on kids, sports take a backseat. Moreover, there are thousands of underprivileged kids in India who may be excellent in any field of sports but are unable to portray their talent due to a lack of opportunities.
In India, childhood obesity has become an epidemic. India has the second-highest number of obese children in the world, after China, with 14.4 million. Obesity and overweight are common in children, with 15% of them being overweight or obese. The incidence has risen to 35-40% in private institutions catering to upper-income households, showing an alarmingly growing trend.
Apart from health concerns Sports Development also plays a major role in addressing any kind of mental concerns that a child can suffer from.
