Why Does It Matter
India's micro, small, and medium enterprise sector, like its population, is second only to China. The overall number of MSMEs in the country was above 63 million in the fiscal year 2020. Micro and cottage businesses made up the majority, with a higher percentage in rural areas than in metropolitan ones. However, with COVID-19 and associated economic downfall these communities have been badly affected.
Hence, we at SEPP World Foundation have come together to support the sustainability of affected workers and work on the revival and sustainability of Cottage Industry.
