For most businesses, the Covid-19 outbreak has spelled doom. Many businesses have been forced to close their doors, while others have had to lay off employees and announce compensation reductions. However, the SMEs sector, notably the cottage industry, was the hardest hit. Cotton weaving, silk weaving, carpet making, leather industry, and handicrafts industries are all part of the Indian economy's signature. This industry is still one of the most disorganized and decentralized.

Currently, most cottage industries are undergoing recovery or are struggling to recover from the losses suffered due to the ravaging effects of the pandemic hence we at SEPP World Foundation have come together to design a roadmap for the revival and survival of such cottage industries.
