Entrepreneurial Program
India ranks about 140th in the Gender Gap Index by World Economic Forum. According to Gender Inequality Index, in India, women account for 29% of the labour force, down from 35% in 2004. In India, more than half of women's employment is unpaid, and almost all of it is informal and unsafe. Most industries, including business leadership, are underrepresented by women. Despite accounting for about 40% of agricultural labour, they hold barely 9% of India's land.
These statistics show a very dismal picture of women entrepreneurship in India and we at SEPP World Foundation feel that women entrepreneurial programs are very much required if you want to reduce our gender gap and inequality index. For this, we have built a proper roadmap for entrepreneurial program in India.
Program Roadmap
- Building institutional capacity for women enterprise growth through training, advisory services, and business networks.
- Creating an enabling environment for women enterprise development through policy reform.
- Create tools and online resources for female entrepreneurs.
- Working with leading financial institutions to address the need to improve financing and developing financial tools for women business owners.
